On Lambert's side of things, it's not like he has any real idea of what to make of Strange's reaction to something he had, honestly, done because he'd thought it would be funny at the time. Either Strange's book would really not be that good, which he could tease him for, or it would have something else about it Lambert could make fun of him for.
In response to Strange's unwavering sincerity, Lambert can only scoff, averting his face slightly as he turns his gaze away so the emotion isn't so blinding.

stuff, if I knew you were going to make such a big deal out of it." He holds out the book for him to take, honestly surprised Strange just hasn't snatched it out of his hands, for how he's looking at it. Like a drowning man at a lifeline.
"You must have dozens of copies of this back home."
