"Five, maybe six days, I think," she said, sounding a touch unsure. Her eyes have been steadily getting bluer, though, a fact that was surprising at first and now seems more normal than not. Or at least no more unusual than Sherlock Holmes with scales and a snake snout. That surprise, she's just going to let her good friend encounter himself. It will be, no doubt, priceless. She filled the water and put it on to heat, flicking the switch on the electric unit before moving to pull down two cups, a container of cubed sugar, and a tin of British Breakfast tea she'd absconded with from the cookhouse kitchen.
Once that has been done, she turned to lean against the counter, offering him a bemused smile.
"A carnival that moves through whole multiverses," Helen said, cradling an empty cup as the kettle ticked behind her. "I thought that I had encountered all manner of odd creatures and situations but this just might be near the top."
