[OPEN] 3 Spoopy 5 Me
Who: Tamaki and Anyone!
When: Post Day 145
Where: The Summerlands
What: Tamaki's realized he kept a... useful ability from his time as a ghost.
Warnings: Depends on what you want to talk about.
The first time he'd used it had been an accident; without even really thinking about it, Tamaki started to walk through the wall of the cookhouse like he used to as a ghost and-
Well. He crashed into it. Fell flat on his butt, actually. It took him a moment to remember that oh yeah, he's solid again. Walking through walls isn't really a thing he can do anymore.
Though he'd still been a bit curious to see if he really couldn't get through the wall anymore; being able to phase through things easily was really the only nice thing about being a ghost. He'd leaned against the wall of the cookhouse, remembering the way it felt to be completely weightless, just a person-shaped mass of soul energy that could go anywhere-
And then he fell through and landed on his face. Welp.
That little bit of slapstick dispatched, Tamaki was eager to try out his new ability on the Carnival. Which is what lead to now, where a seven-foot teenager has just walked through the wall. He glows blue for a moment before coming solid again, looking all around the space before his eyes land on the person he just most likely startled.
Trailers, tents, game stalls... the only thing he seems to be purposefully avoiding entering unlawfully is bathrooms. He could really be anywhere.
At which point he'll look at the person he just so rudely intruded upon, blinking like they're the ones who just showed up.
"Uh. Pardon the intrusion."

It's nice. Even if he's under contract to work.
Having taken the time to get a feel for the layout of the Carnival, Crow's turned to performing some maintenance on his D-Wheel, a sleek black and yellow motorbike, where he'd parked her next to a tent.
Which is when he hears an unfamiliar voice and a sudden shadow falling across where he's crouched with a spanner in hand as he pokes around the guts of his bike. Startled, Crow jerks back and bangs a hand on his bike's frame.
"Ow!" Hissing in pain as he drops the spanner to rub at his hand, Crow glances up at the intruder. And looks up. And up... "Where the hell'd you come from?"
no subject
Tamaki gestures at the fabric of the tent itself, not the opening which is several yards to his left. It's pretty clear there's really only one way he could have gotten here so quickly and without any noise, but how that's even possible is a mystery...
Well, not really. It's just a side effect of being a ghost for a month.
But never mind all that! Tamaki's eyes light on the motorbike, and go wide. He's never seen one quite like this before.
"What's that?"
no subject
Crow can't help but give this guy a rather skeptical look. But before he can say anything, he's quickly distracted by the question. Brightening, Crow practically preens before saying with a wide, eager smile.
"This is Blackbird! My D-Wheel." He runs a hand over the black frame, fond. "You like her?"
no subject
It even has a name. That's pretty awesome. Tamaki thinks it would be really cool to own a motorbike like this, once he's old enough to drive; but the other members of his idol group might give him a hard time if they think he might crash it and get hurt.
But besides that... "What do you mean by D-Wheel?" Isn't it a normal motorbike?
no subject
"What's what she is. A D-Wheel."
This guy isn't the only one who's expressed confusion, as if he's never heard of a D-Wheel before. So Crow explains.
"She's made for riding duels. Riding the wind, your monsters clashing with your opponents in a world of speed... that's the best part of riding duels!"
Which isn't really an explanation, in the end.
no subject
That's the word Tamaki honed in on, his eyes going wide. What the heck does this guy mean, monsters? That sounds scary and dangerous.
"You do duels with monsters? Do they try to eat you?"
He sounds rather frightened by this.
no subject
Crow's just as surprised as this guy is. The idea that Duel Monsters would--
(But they had, in a way, when the Dark Signers came and summoned gods who would crush them.)
Crow shakes his head. "Here, lemme show you. They won't hurt you, promise."
Reaching back, Crow pulls his deck of cards out of his deck holder and holds up one card and places it face-up on a rectangular shaped indentation -- one of five -- just above where you would expect to find a fuel tank on a motorcycle. With a flash of light, a white feathered bird materialises and spreads its wings, with a loud coo.
The bird isn't 'real', so if there is an attempt to touch it, the hand would simply go through the body of the bird; it is, after all, just an incredibly real looking hologram.
no subject
Curious, he reaches out to touch the bird's wing, his eyes widening when his hand passes right through.
"Eh? It's not real? A trick?"
He looks back at the boy for an explanation. This is definitely strange.
no subject
"It's Solid Vision." Reaching over, Crow removes the card from the indentation, causing the bird to fade away. "It's just light. So when we duel, everyone has fun and no one gets hurt."
At least, that's how it should be.
no subject
"What kind of dueling is it?" He looks away from the spot where the bird was. "Is it some kind of card game?"
Maybe this is where the future is headed; he hopes his phone games get holograms one day.
