It's just as wry and slightly sarcastic as expected. After all, Strange isn't going to purposefully try to set people on fire. And Childermass knows that. As he bends down at the candlestick, Strange pulls some matches out of his coat pocket and lights the candle. Standing back up, he walks backwards a bit, hands pointing towards the candle as Strange mutters various incantations under his breath.

And then the flame from the candle rapidly expands into a decently sized pillar of fire and shoots about ten feet in the air. It returns to a candle-sized flame soon enough but Strange doesn't entirely look too pleased at this display of pyrotechnics/the reason why the tent's fireproof.

"It's still so dull," he can't help but complain. Yes, ten feet of HUGEASS FLAMES qualify as dull.
