Strange will get about three steps worth of dragging Childermass along before he recovers from the entire 'dragged from one location to another' ordeal. That had been very sudden, unexpected, and it had thrown him off for about a handful of seconds. Then he realizes they're no longer in the big tent and, to his own dismay, closer to the one place he's been avoiding since he got back.

"No, we are not."

He doesn't yell. He isn't much for yelling. No, his words are quiet, but angry, threatening in a way that doesn't need to be loud. The next time Strange tries to yank on his arm, he'll find the man he's pulling along will not be moved, as he digs a heel into the ground and yanks right back. If he can, he'll pull Strange right back the other way, only he won't be moving from where he stands, so it'll be pulling him right back into Childermass himself.
