"We're in Atlantis. Just about everything here is already more interesting to see," Childermass points out. It doesn't help with getting them unlost, of course, but it is still true. Case in point, he's pretty sure they're using glowing sea life (anemones, in this case) to light some of the darker alcoves along this route.

But it'll be Susan's dismissive 'my magic does that sometimes' comment that draws his attention over the area's lighting. He arches an eyebrow at that.
