Even at the quieter gatherings he's been to, he usually seemed to find himself sticking to the outskirts. Which only made sense, he guesses. Parties are probably more fun for people who actually belong there.

...Then again, he's stuck to the same behavior at parties held in the carnival, too. So maybe it's less a matter of where he does or doesn't belong than just... how he is.
