What kind of question is that, carnival magic turns people into things for specific places, and has the longer-term changes that last as long as they're there... but the wolf's been around before he ever even heard hell was a real place that the carnival might visit. Those transformations don't just change back and forth all willy-nilly.

Come to think of it, he really hadn't suspected Sans was in it at all, not until they pulled him out. There'd been no sign of a smaller skeleton in the ribcage. But... That would mean Sans is attacking, and that's just infeasible. Sans, for whom play-fighting is too much effort, and who can't even be turned into a vampire anyway.
