Well, it's certainly lucky for Riori that Thranta hasn't been with Scout that long - Riori hasn't been with Tamaki for too long, either, and while they've bonded quickly enough, she isn't very strong yet. Of course, that's what they're out here doing, trying to make her stronger to prepare for the Trial.

So the hit knocks into her, and she chirps angrily as it nearly sends her tumbling, but she's still on her feet, if a bit ruffled. The hit did damage, but not too much.

"Good job, Riori!" Tamaki praises as she keeps her footing. "Air Cutter!"

With a flap of her wings, the Oricorio springs into the air and makes a slicing motion in the air, causing razor-sharp gusts of wind at Thranta. While it's a strong flying-type move, Riori's only recently learned it, and unfortunately for her, this is a battle of birds.
