Lambert automatically turns to Pig, chuckling softly as she bumps against him, lifting his hands to check that the bit hasn't cut into her mouth from such sudden movements and then crouching down to make sure she hasn't accidentally lamed herself as well. Even as tough as a Mudsdale can be, it doesn't hurt to take the precaution, and it gives him something to do with his hands and an excuse to keep his face turned away for a little bit.
