By the time Lauren comes to sit with him, Susan's already taken Fluff into his lap, burying his face in her fur as he tries not to cry again. He's been crying so much, he feels like, and he doesn't want to any more. It's hard though when he feels lost, and more than ever he wants to go back and make it so none of this had ever happened.
Normally Lauren's words comfort him, but right now they're useless to him. He still pulls away from Fluff's fur to lean on his brother instead, wordlessly trying to get comfort from him at least in that way.
