He must not even care much about the competition because when he gets to the water he keeps running before leaping forward and diving under the surface. It probably isn't a great idea since he doesn't even know the depth of the water there, but he doesn't hit his head since he breaks from the surface just a few feet away wiping his hair out of his face. He look around and sees her still on the shoreline and he shouts at her.

"Coward!"
