To Strange's credit, he realizes fairly quickly that he crossed a line. As Peridot glares at him, he realizes that perhaps it wasn't the best idea to mention the word 'vampires' to someone who was most likely kidnapped by said vampires--after all, she was a supervisor, wasn't she? As Peridot lunges forward, Strange instinctively backs up.

Strange turns tail, not even bothering to leave via a flashy magical exit, instead opting to head out of the area via the new road he magically built, walking at a bit of a faster pace than normal.
