He doesn't want to sound like some petulant child and demand Ginko explain himself, but he definitely feels like whining after hearing that explanation. If there was more to it than that then Ginko should just tell him what more there was! He was left feeling once again like there was this disconnect between them, with Psi wanting to help and Ginko just not letting him. He didn't want to repeat his mistake from before and get angry about it, but it's such a natural reaction for him. He'd never needed to ignore that feeling before because with another troll the insult would be well understood on both sides. The feeling of pity would either be returned or it wouldn't, none of this halfway crap! Human relationships felt so much more confusing because of it. These humans had friendships with ill defined borders and familial relationships where love wasn't supposed to be romantic. A love that was built from the kind of feelings you might have for your lusus, if your lusus wasn't an annoying needy clumsy fucking monster incapable of speech.

It was so irritating, and frustrating, and upsetting. He knows Ginko's a human, but he thought before when he didn't tell Psi to bugger off that maybe this crush could be something worth persuing. But maybe it wasn't, maybe Ginko just hadn't know what to say. Maybe that's what was happening now. Or maybe he just didn't want to say it, because it really wasn't any of Psi's business even if they were human friends. Friends didn't need to tell each other everything. Psi logically knew that, but it still hurt. It still felt like he was being pushed away.

"Well... I hope you decide to stay."
