Kingfishers are definitely not common in Portland, Yuya knows that much. Which is why it catches his attention among all the other standard doves and pigeons, and he stops during his cut through the park with a corndog in hand. He approaches, slowly, and stops a few feet away--he doesn't want to startle the bird into leaving after all.
