The demon doesn't think much of Ginko's hesitation. He knew Ginko was the kind of person that had trouble expressing his thoughts sometimes. Of course then there were also times where he could succinctly tear your ego to pieces. Odds are if he couldn't think of what to say it was something he wasn't comfortable talking about. But since when had demons been known for their ability to respect boundaries?
