It's a good question. Rita's never really dealt with elementals before.
"If they were conjured through fae magic, then... probably?" Rita guesses, but the fire elemental starts winding up for an attack, and she has to respond. She conjures a shield in the form of a flat disc of spinning flames - the only defensive spell she really knows - and holds it up. The creature winds up its head, opens it maw and spits out a blast of fire, but Rita intercepts it with the shield, absorbing the flames that spill from its body.
"This one might be tricky," Rita warns, though she still doesn't sound that alarmed. "My fire won't work on it." The good news, though, is that if she keeps that defense up, its fire won't work on her, either.
