Carly is the one who catches a wave of nausea in response to Foster's words. She hears Jack, as well...but for now, says nothing, unable to face the feelings it would bring.

Instead, she allows very purple fire to coat her arms, tone lowering to a dangerous chill as she looks toward the bear.
