"It is a more precise name for what powers my abilities." Syrlya gestures his hands out for emphasis. "All magic is intertwined but there are different facets of it, and those facets are capable of being twisted into different spells. As a Mesmer, I pull in chaos energy for my spells because it is that facet of magic that alters reality. There is some overlap, of course, but for the most part every magical profession is specialized in using a different face of energy."
