Scout, sitting on a bench staring out into sunny nothing, wipes hastily at her eyes. Her face is that special, obvious blank that means she's hiding emotion, but she nods and attempts to rally, turning towards the older woman. Loss is loss and she's been handling hers for years now. Having it taken away for a little while had just meant that its return was crushing. But it's not a new loss, and she can't just wallow in it.
