"Because it helps," Cole answers, as if it's the easiest question imaginable. "And because sometimes they need it."

People hurt in different ways. And sometimes those ways were fixed by a whisper in their ear, a few words of wisdom. And other times, there were bits and parts that they had to forget entirely. Cole didn't mind that. He only did what he thought was needed.
