Peridot lets that information wash over her, lets it seep into her consciousness where she can piece it together with what she already knows. It... sure answers more than a few of her lingering questions.

It also makes her fucking furious. For a second, it looks like she's on the verge of exploding at Childermass; her jaw clenches, smoke trickles out of the corners of her mouth. But... She doesn't. Not yet. She's still trying to process all the implications... And to be honest, she's not really sure if she's actually angry at Childermass, or if she's more angry at Lambert. Somehow, she doesn't think it was the Acquisitioner's idea to make the kind of gigantic scene that the Nightrider ultimately wound up causing.
