He'll try thinking of something, but some of the more educated carnival members would be better suited for coming up with something that will work against his inability to adjust to change without being, like, obvious about it. In the meantime, he can stealth and check the perimeter while everyone starts to collect themselves together and come up with a plan.
EDIT: AS A SIDE NOTE Childermass passed Bunny girl and Bicorn to Syrlya when the manor started breaking apart. He would have led them as far as the exit, then put them under temporary stealth and told them to get to find other carny members/the Ringmaster ASAP while he helps evacuate everyone else. He'll make sure they made it to safety when he's returning the rose to the Ringmaster.
