Partly because Ichigo has yet to find any that strike him as dangerous enough to bother with, and he's been looking. Sure there's monsters but fighting 'mindless beasts' really isn't up his alley and anyway mostly they seem corralled at this point so just roaming around skewering them for no good reason wasn't about to happen.
Waiting to go kick the ass of some guy holed up in a fortress sounded way too familiar and he was itchy to get to it before other familiar things started happening, like a parade of minibosses.
... And there's one of his usual minibosses now.
As Zangetsu works towards something like consciousness, Ichigo pauses, turns, and heads for the outskirts of the carnival. This network of tents was going to be annoying if things suddenly went pear-shaped, and most of the time things did indeed go pear-shaped.]

[It probably wasn't a truck. And having voices in his head directly was in fact way more disturbing than the usual bullshit he had to deal with, hopefully this wasn't some new unexpected side effect of reforging...]
