What they here is their only warning. Or at least, the only warning for former friends. Zangetsu, no doubt, senses things ahead of time, as Gongenzaka's ears perk and his growl grows louder. His body lowers-claws extended, and barbels pointed high and toward what lies ahead, everything in his body telling him that something dangerous is there. No-worse than that.

"Hhrrrrrrhhh...HRHRRREEEEEHHH-K!" A snarl-and a roar soon after, and the creature leaps and charges, an echoing bellow meeting the air as it literally cuts their way through the undergrowth. He recognizes this energy.
