To be honest Tyki doesn't really know either. It's just going to be a thing now for the meanwhile that he's still intoxicated and if it sticks later he'll just have to deal with it.

It's not as if everyone could see souls like Tyki can. He knows what a human soul is and that was the extent of that. He could tell if someone was human or not and he'd learn over time what other souls looked like.
