Strange can see why now he would rather utilize it as his own then let it run rampart when it wishes. If he can control it then he can use it as an extension of his own abilities.

Strange looks hilarious pitched sideways there and he almost wants to poke that tentacle to see if it would give him a good shake. He's smoke in an instant though and that half ruins his fun.

"I'm aware," he responds with no hint of reluctance, "I would rather something sharp over something dull. Since I have more strength than you I'll hold it still unless you want the risk of getting slapped in the face... or worse." Strange, please don't let the tentacle steal the knife.
