He could take a guess why Solas may have a problem with the Dalish (it's probably about mages), but it sounds like an issue more on his end than Lavellan's. But he doubts he'll ever ask, as he's not likely to completely grasp the context anyway. He's not from Thedas, he doesn't know enough about elves to invest himself in a cultural disagreement so long as nobody starts anything here because of it.
