At Tyki's question, Strange nods. "Being a supervisor means that one is given responsibility, which Childermass can handle, and attention, which I know he loathes. Even the Acquisitioner must step out of the shadows every once in a while." So why take it on to begin with? Was it like Lambert, where it was offered out of desperation as there really weren't any better choices? Or did Childermass actively seek out the job for...whatever reason?

Though, Tyki's tight-lipped nature makes Strange scowl a little, frowning to himself. Dammit, he asked this question purely for gossip purposes! The fact that Tyki's not joining in is annoying as hell.

"I don't care what he'd appreciate or not," Strange grumbles, though he knows it's not true. "I just want to know more about him." Since Childermass has a big ol'habit of not telling Strange himself. Spying like a creep can only go so far.
