He would say something along the lines of 'what a dick' if he actually knew that phrase. Instead his frown remains fixed on his face with a grind of the back of his teeth, "So he's a bigger jerk that usual." Not that he thought he was all that much of a jerk to begin with. It's hazardous but if Childermass had bothered to ask him to come along he might've said yes just to keep an eye on him.
