He might be implying she really does look like she needs some help, but it's hard to tell with his tone sometimes. At least he doesn't push it farther though, just scooting himself along toward the transport area, so they can find a teleporter back down to the planet, the scooters he's using making distracting rattling noises as they roll along. He tries not to get too far ahead but mostly that just means he has to double back a lot.
