Rhys nods but he's still not sure because while he says she's trustworthy, Rhys doesn't trust him yet either so taking his word on someone else is hard. But, it's not like he has much of a choice either. He's here and it doesn't seem like escape is an option. And if he can make it through a year, he'll get his hearts desire and get out of here.

One year isn't that long. It keeps him away from Vasquez and August and a bunch of killer robots so there are some pros to the whole situation.
