"I didn't mean to," Cole quietly whines. Because he didn't! And it would have been better all around if Cole didn't steal the real Cole's identity because it gave him one heck of an identity crisis in return.

At Rhys's question though, Cole can answer that. "I'm a spirit. Compassion, I think. I can hear the hurts and I want to heal them."

Rhys's lack of subtlety doesn't seem to bother Cole. After all, he's had worse conversations. And at least Rhys says what he wants instead of saying something but wanting different.
