Papyrus nods a slow, understanding nod at the explanation of Claptrap, then shakes his head. Nothing to do with him. He's more of a fan of robots than a robot himself, and it sounds like there's not much comparison. Helpful, talkative, tending to clean, sure... But annoying? Not this skeleton.
"My skin? I think I left it in Portland..." He glances away into the past, thinking for a couple of seconds.
It's hard to say for sure. That last week went by in a bit of a blur, and he doesn't really remember the transition to being back at the Carnival. Which is probably for the best. The body horror of going from human to skeleton must have been... a thing.
Which reminds him.
"Oh, but I wasn't born with that!" Papyrus hastily reassures. "I've a skeleton! From a babybones to my current tall and handsome physique... With a few recesses, later in life."
