It may or may not be known that Lapis Lazuli's are partial to water. It may or may not be known that they can also walk on water. Which is probably far more efficient than sloshing around through it. Stagnant smelling or not, there's definitely a bit of comfort to be had for Lapis with all of this water so suddenly around.

What isn't comforting is that there's a body in the water, which stops Lapis from going too far away from whoever it is that's around. Who she's quick to turn to, clearly hesitant in getting too close.

"Don't look at me, I didn't do it. She was already there."
