Things are definitely not going well in there, and so when Susan hears Lauren again cast a spell he just pushes past the pokemon (sorry Feathers) to go back in, although he doesn't say anything yet, instead just landing behind the others. Unlike his brother, he can actually read the situation, and so he knows he shouldn't do anything, not yet, but if he isn't there, he can't even try to help if there's a chance.
