Seeing as this is probably going to be a full conversation, the two of them decide to take physical form. The Curator appears as a fairly stern looking rendition of Merlin the Wizard, while the Scribe manifests as a large ginger cat, settling down on top of the book they were just writing in.

Merlin Curator comes forward, looking annoyed.

"You have the whole of the Athenaeum's defenses at your disposal... how can we be blamed for the fact that you will not use them?" they ask, gesturing to the grand interior of the library.

"You were doing so well, and then you just... stopped," the Scribe adds, tilting their head.
