Steven was already about to sit down, anyway. He's balancing on his feet okay, but it doesn't feel particularly good, so just walking back here has him sick of it. He lowers himself down as carefully as he can manage. He doesn't know how realistic it is, but he's had worries about accidentally shattering himself by falling over.
He can't help but be filled with empathetic emotion when Strange says that to him. It bubbles up inside of him, and mostly just is just overwhelmed by how terrible this is for both of them, and for everyone else having to deal with it. It isn't fair, and he knows that. No matter what either of them did to bring it upon themselves.
He isn't sure he understands what's happening to Strange, but he can assume it's bad. 'Training' has bad connotations to him, when used by fae.
"You do, too," he says, wrapping his arms around his knees. He knows that Strange does stupid things that get him into trouble, but trying to save his friends isn't one of them. He really means it.
He can't help but feel choked up everything at that point, though he's trying very hard not to cry.
"I really hope the others are okay," he says in a small voice. "I wanted to stop it, but I can't."
