Facing Steven in one-on-one combat, even with the power of the Void at his disposal, had been nothing like fighting a Quartz veteran of a thousand years of war. And, although she hardly tries to spend time near Steven, having accepted that, it's been a lot easier since to notice other ways the assumption that they're one and the same just doesn't line up.
