Meanwhile, Smoky plummets to the floor at the bottom of the pillar for the second time in not very long at all, and in much worse shape to boot. They land on their back, at least, which is good news for both of their gems, but the iron-tipped injuries from Belaziel have weakened them badly enough that it's a long moment before they can even roll onto their side. They plant two hands on the ground to try to push themselves up, clasping the other one to the gouges across their middle, and grimace in pain. This is quite literally the worst experience they have ever had in their life!
