Carly can't quite shoot arrows like this...but she can send fireballs from her beak, and that's enough. From the shadows she shoots- and then hurriedly darts away both backward and off to the side, only drawing near when she's at some other angle of the area. And then shooting, darting away...

They're only pot shots, but they're potshots with demon fire, and once it's enough and their attentions are low, she can take to the skies she's sure.
