Yukio's voice snaps him back to (hampered, fuzzy) consciousness for a moment, and Rin gives a woozy thumbs up, "Ooooooooohkey-dokey smokey pokeyyyy."

The injection itself has a sharp, pinchy pain to it, and Rin scrunches up his face a little. It reminds him of going to the dentist, a little.
