Beau wouldn't be impressed by that policy, for sure. Not unless it was for reasons like 'the soldier is okay at soldiering but REALLY GOOD at whatever else we need', when there were enough other soldiers to help herd the noncombatants. Not having seen the scale of fighting they're in for.
