In between teaching and possibly working for the government, I'll have enough favors and prestige for my liking."
That makes a lot more sense than Strange telling Beau the real reason why he wouldn't bring someone back from the dead that powerfully: he straight up can't do it. Even now, he still likes to seem like he can do more than he actually can.
