And esoteric information like liches and phylacteries isn't exactly common fare, or even among the sorts of information that Beau gathers. That hasn't stopped her from fighting the stubbornly undead, or getting the sense that they're maelstrom echoes of pain that should have been long-departed. The Ringmaster said it wasn't anything like that - it's a spell for life, not undeath - but still. She could just be saying that.
