It was certainly worth a shot, and that initial shock was beyond painful - sends him straight back to his days in prison, for sure - but he at least got one Gamma who won't be going anywhere. Before he can be too concerned with what the next step in the plan will be, though, Shimmer comes in and decks the remaining Beta; and he could only be more amused if he wasn't still recovering from electrocution.
