Peridot lets out a little grunt of surprise when Rita grabs her arm. She accepts, of course, without even really understanding what she's agreeing to. She stiffens as the power flows into her, momentarily gripped by fear and uncertainty until, just as quickly as the sensation starts, it vanishes.

There isn't much time to contemplate that experience, or to ask Rita any follow up questions. Those laser blasts are coming in quick. Peridot is well used to hiding behind Steven in situations like this, so when he shouts out a warning, she's probably one of the first to dive in and take advantage of the cover.

"I'm going for the arms first," she says to anyone immediately close enough to hear her. "If anyone wants to try and cover me, that would be appreciated."
