Yuya makes a little choking sound as his waist is squeezed, holding still while clinging to Rita until she calms down and starts to levitate on her own again. He's very aware, suddenly, he can't go very far in any direction on his own.

So he obliges Rita pulling him around, making some movement like he's trying to futilely swim through the air (it doesn't speed things up). He pops the shield again whenever they stop, looking up in anticipation for anything coming for them--either debris or robot arms.
