But that's the least of her concern, as Peridot's starting to hack through one of the Mother's arms, and she sees the Mother winding up to swat her away with another one of her limbs. "Protect Peridot!" she yells as she pulls Yuya with her, flying in between the Mother's arm and the gem with the intention of blocking the attack with Yuya's barrier.

The arm slams into the shield and crashes right through it, bashing Rita and Yuya and sending the two of them hurtling down toward the ground.
