There are actually quite a lot of things Lambert wants to hide right now, meaning Peridot's protest is just going to get her a little shrug, before Lambert ... turns into Peridot. More specifically, Peridot as she was during her stint as a familiar in Wismuth, although the proportions seems a little off; the ring evidently wasn't designed to accommodate illusions below a certain size.
